Inconel 601 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy that also contains small amounts of aluminum and titanium. This material is highly resistant to oxidation at elevated temperatures, making it suitable for use in sulphurous atmospheres. Known as 2.4851, it provides excellent scaling resistance and retains its strength and stability at temperatures up to 1150°C. It is also resistant to carburizing conditions and aggressive gases.
