This copper square bar, designated as Cu-ETP (material number 2.0065, CW004A), is made from high-purity, electrolytically refined copper with a minimum copper content of 99.9% and a maximum oxygen content of 0.04%. Due to its oxygen content, it is not suitable for welding, as hydrogen embrittlement may occur. However, it offers excellent cold and hot formability and is ideal for soft soldering. Brazing in a reducing atmosphere and machining are not recommended. Thanks to its outstanding electrical and thermal conductivity, this copper bar is widely used in heating and cooling technologies (such as radiators and heat exchangers), electrical engineering (motors, windings, terminals), building applications (decorative interiors and facades), shipbuilding, mechanical engineering, electric lines, and coil windings. The copper square bar features excellent processing properties, good corrosion resistance, and superior solderability. It is semi-hard to hard in condition, with a smooth surface (minor handling or storage marks possible). However, it is not suitable for sweating, brazing in a reducing atmosphere, or extensive machining.
