This copper strip is manufactured from oxygen-containing copper, specifically the Cu-ETP grade, which is electrolytically refined. The material offers excellent electrical and thermal conductivity. However, due to its oxygen content and susceptibility to hydrogen embrittlement, it is not suitable for welding. The copper strip is ideal for both cold and hot forming and demonstrates good resistance to chemicals. It is resistant to sea air, potable and service water, as well as non-oxidizing acids and alkalis, but is not suitable for use with ammonia, halides, cyanides, oxidizing acids, or seawater. Additionally, the material is not suitable for machining.
