This copper strip is made from oxygen-containing, electrolytically refined Cu-ETP copper. It delivers outstanding electrical and thermal conductivity. Due to its oxygen content and risk of hydrogen embrittlement, this copper is not suitable for welding. It boasts excellent cold and hot formability and good chemical resistance, making it durable in sea air, potable and service water, and non-oxidizing acids and alkalis. However, it is not suitable for use with ammonia, halides, cyanide, oxidizing acids, or seawater. The copper strip is not machinable.
