This copper strip is made from oxygen-containing, electrolytically refined copper, known as Cu-ETP. It offers outstanding electrical and thermal conductivity. Due to its oxygen content and susceptibility to hydrogen embrittlement, this material is not suitable for welding. It is, however, ideal for both cold and hot forming, and boasts strong chemical resistance. The copper is unaffected by sea air, drinking and service water, and non-oxidizing acids and alkalis. However, it does not tolerate ammonia, halides, cyanides, oxidizing acids, or seawater, and is not suitable for machining.
