This copper strip is produced from oxygen-containing, electrolytically refined copper, known as Cu-ETP. It boasts outstanding electrical and thermal conductivity. Due to its oxygen content and sensitivity to hydrogen embrittlement, it is not suitable for welding. The material is ideal for both cold and hot forming and offers good chemical resistance. It withstands exposure to sea air, drinking and service water, as well as non-oxidizing acids and alkalis, but is not resistant to ammonia, halides, cyanide, oxidizing acids, or seawater. It is not suitable for machining.
