Material 2.4952 is an austenitic, high-temperature nickel-chromium alloy that includes alloying elements such as manganese, chromium, cobalt, aluminum, and titanium. The presence of aluminum and titanium enables hardening of the alloy. Nimonic 80a offers excellent oxidation resistance and is resistant to pitting, crevice, and surface corrosion. It is insoluble in alkaline solutions and displays good acid resistance. This nickel alloy maintains high tensile strength and outstanding creep resistance at temperatures up to 815°C.
