The material 2.4952 is an austenitic, high-temperature nickel-chromium alloy. Alongside manganese, chromium, and cobalt, it also contains alloying elements like aluminum and titanium. The presence of titanium and aluminum allows the alloy to be hardened. Nimonic 80a offers excellent oxidation resistance, as well as protection against pitting, crevice, and surface corrosion. It is insoluble in alkaline solutions and demonstrates strong acid resistance. This nickel alloy maintains high tensile and creep strength at temperatures up to 815°C and is known for its creep resistance.
