2.4952 is an austenitic high-temperature nickel-chromium alloy. Along with manganese, chromium, and cobalt, it includes alloying elements such as aluminum and titanium, which allow the material to be hardened. Nimonic 80a offers excellent oxidation resistance and is highly resistant to pitting, crevice, and surface corrosion. It does not dissolve in alkaline solutions and performs well against acids. The nickel alloy maintains high tensile and creep strength at temperatures up to 815°C, making it highly creep resistant.
