Material 2.4952 is an austenitic high-temperature nickel-chromium alloy. It contains alloying elements such as manganese, chromium, cobalt, aluminum, and titanium. The addition of titanium and aluminum makes this grade hardenable. Nimonic 80a provides excellent oxidation resistance and strong protection against pitting, crevice, and surface corrosion. It is not soluble in alkaline solutions and offers strong acid resistance. The nickel alloy maintains high tensile and creep strength at temperatures up to 815°C and is particularly known for its creep resistance.
