Material 2.4952 is an austenitic, high-temperature nickel-chromium alloy. Alongside manganese, chromium, and cobalt, it also contains aluminum and titanium, which allow the material to be hardened. Nimonic 80a offers excellent oxidation resistance and stands up well to pitting, crevice, and surface corrosion. It does not dissolve in alkaline solutions and is highly resistant to acids. This nickel alloy maintains high tensile and creep strength at temperatures up to 815°C and is known for its creep resistance.
