2.4952 is an austenitic, high-temperature nickel-chromium alloy that also includes elements such as manganese, cobalt, aluminum, and titanium. The presence of titanium and aluminum makes this alloy hardenable. Nimonic 80a offers excellent oxidation resistance and is highly resistant to pitting, crevice, and surface corrosion. It does not dissolve in alkaline solutions and demonstrates strong acid resistance. Up to 815°C, this nickel alloy maintains high tensile and creep strength, making it exceptionally creep-resistant.
