The material 2.4952 is an austenitic, high-temperature nickel-chromium alloy. It contains manganese, chromium, cobalt, as well as aluminum and titanium, which make the alloy hardenable. Nimonic 80a offers excellent oxidation resistance and withstands pitting, crevice, and surface corrosion. It is insoluble in alkaline solutions and has strong acid resistance. The alloy maintains high tensile and creep strength at temperatures up to 815°C and is highly creep-resistant.
