This stainless steel round bar is made primarily in Germany and is not an import from China, ensuring high quality and reliable standards. It is produced from material number 1.4310 (AISI 301, EN X10CrNi18-8) and offers good corrosion resistance and excellent tensile strength ranging from 600 to 950 MPa. The bar has a length tolerance of +/-2mm, and its density is 7.9 g/cm³. Stainless steel 1.4310 is a more compact version of 1.4301, with a high chromium and limited nickel composition. This results in a metastable austenitic structure that hardens rapidly during cold forming. Commonly used for spring components, the steel’s microstructure features a significant amount of martensite, making it relatively magnetic. Chemical Composition (in %): C: 0.05–0.15 | Si: 2.0 | Mn: 2.0 | P: 0.045 | S: 0.015 | Cr: 16.0–19.0 | Ni: 6.0–9.5 | N: 0.11 | Mo: 0.80 Welding is possible up to 200°C, and forging is recommended between 1200°C and 900°C. This product is highly rated for its quality and service, making it a reliable choice for demanding applications.
