These stainless steel round rods (AISI 301, material number 1.4310, EN X10CrNi18-8) are mainly manufactured in Germany, ensuring high quality and excellent service. The rods offer a length tolerance of +/-2mm. They provide good corrosion resistance, a tensile strength of 600-950 MPa, and can be welded up to 200°C. Forging temperatures range from 1200°C to 900°C, and the density is 7.9 g/cm³. 1.4310 stainless steel is a more compact variant of 1.4301, known for its high chromium and limited nickel content. This composition results in a metastable austenitic structure that hardens quickly during cold working. Because it's often used for springs, the final microstructure contains a significant amount of martensite, making it relatively magnetic. Typical chemical composition (in %): C: 0.05-0.15 | Si: 2.0 | Mn: 2.0 | P: 0.045 | S: 0.015 | Cr: 16.0-19.0 | Ni: 6.0-9.5 | N: 0.11 | Mo: 0.80 These rods are ideal for applications requiring strength, durability, and resistance to corrosion.
