These stainless steel round rods, type 1.4310 (AISI 301, X10CrNi18-8), are primarily manufactured in Germany by Evek and are not imports from China. They offer high quality at competitive prices and are highly rated for both product and service. The rods have a length tolerance of +/-2mm. 1.4310 stainless steel is a more compact version of 1.4301, featuring a high chromium and limited nickel content. This composition creates a metastable austenitic structure that hardens quickly during cold working, making it ideal for spring components. The material is relatively magnetic due to the presence of shear-induced martensite in the final microstructure. Key properties include good corrosion resistance, tensile strength of 600–950 MPa, and suitability for welding up to 200°C. The forging temperature ranges from 1200°C to 900°C, and the density is 7.9 g/cm³. Chemical Composition (%): C: 0.05–0.15, Si: 2.0, Mn: 2.0, P: 0.045, S: 0.015, Cr: 16.0–19.0, Ni: 6.0–9.5, N: 0.11, Mo: 0.80 Please refer to the included technical datasheet for further details.
