Each rod has a length tolerance of +/-2mm. Made from stainless steel grade 1.4310 (AISI 301, EN X10CrNi18-8), these rods offer good corrosion resistance and a tensile strength of 600-950 MPa. They are suitable for welding at temperatures up to 200°C and can be forged between 1200°C and 900°C. The density is 7.9 g/cm³. Grade 1.4310 is a compact version of 1.4301 stainless steel, featuring high chromium and lower nickel content. Its structure is austenitic and hardens rapidly during cold working, making it ideal for spring components. The material becomes relatively magnetic due to the formation of martensite during processing.
