Alloy C276 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy enhanced with tungsten, along with small amounts of carbon and silicon. This material is suitable for both cold and hot forming and offers outstanding resistance to pitting, crevice, and stress corrosion. Grade 2.4819 shows excellent durability against mineral and organic acids, seawater, moist chlorine gas, and chloride solutions. It is easily weldable using all standard welding techniques.
