This austenitic stainless steel has increased molybdenum and titanium content to increase its corrosion resistance compared to other 300 series alloys. It resists scaling at higher temperatures and maintains good mechanical properties while maintaining ductility. The material 1.4571 is characterized by its low polishability. This alloy is resistant to a wide range of marine environments, salts, dilute nitric, acetic and sulfuric acids. Due to the addition of Ti as a carbide former, PK12SP is resistant to intergranular corrosion regardless of thickness and cross-section. Due to the Mo content, stainless steel has good resistance to media containing chloride and non-oxidizing acids.
