This material is known for its high tensile strength and outstanding resistance to corrosion, seawater, a wide range of acids, and alkalis. Monel® 400 performs well at temperatures up to around 550°C, maintains good mechanical properties, and is not affected by stress corrosion cracking. It is especially resistant to hydrofluoric acid, fluorine, and their compounds.
