Material 2.4858 is a fully austenitic nickel-iron-chromium alloy, stabilized with titanium and containing copper and molybdenum. It offers excellent resistance to both reducing and oxidizing acids, as well as organic acids. Incoloy® 825 is also highly resistant to alkalis and chloride-based environments. This alloy is known for its outstanding resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. It can be easily formed both hot and cold and has good machinability.
