Material 2.4858 is a fully austenitic nickel-iron-chromium alloy stabilized with titanium, and it also contains copper and molybdenum. This alloy offers excellent resistance to reducing, oxidizing, and organic acids, as well as alkalis and chloride alkalis. Incoloy® 825 stands out for its outstanding resistance to pitting, crevice, and stress corrosion cracking. The material is well-suited for both hot and cold forming, and it also machines well.
We supply 2.4858 at competitive prices and deliver internationally as a trusted supplier of nickel alloys. You can rely on our quality and service.
Incoloy® 825 is primarily used in the chemical industry, particularly in systems exposed to acids such as phosphoric and sulphuric acid. It is also common in offshore technology, including seawater desalination and salt processing. Additional uses include:
- Food industry
- Oil and gas extraction
- Pickling systems (such as pumps, filters, and agitators)
- Apparatus engineering (e.g., pressure vessels up to 425°C)
