Material 2.4858 is a fully austenitic nickel-iron-chromium alloy, stabilized with titanium. It also contains copper and molybdenum, providing excellent resistance to reducing, oxidizing, and organic acids. Incoloy® 825 is highly resistant to alkalis and chloride-containing solutions, and is known for outstanding resistance to pitting, crevice, and stress corrosion cracking. This alloy is easy to shape both hot and cold, and offers good machinability.
