Alloy 2.4858 is a fully austenitic nickel-iron-chromium alloy, stabilized with titanium and containing copper and molybdenum. This material offers excellent resistance to reducing, oxidizing, and organic acids, as well as to alkalis and chloride alkalis. Incoloy® 825 stands out for its high resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. It can be readily formed both hot and cold and is well-suited for machining.
We supply 2.4858 at competitive prices, delivering worldwide as a trusted nickel alloy supplier. You can rely on our quality and service.
Incoloy® 825 is primarily used in the chemical industry, especially where equipment comes into contact with acids such as phosphoric and sulfuric acid. It is also commonly used in offshore applications like seawater desalination and salt processing. Other typical uses include:
- Food industry
- Oil and gas extraction
- Pickling equipment (pumps, filters, agitators)
- Apparatus engineering (pressure vessels up to 425°C)
Key properties of Incoloy® 825:
