This brass square bar is manufactured from material 2.0401, also known as Ms58 or CuZn39Pb3. It is a copper-tin-lead alloy containing up to 59% copper, 1.7-2.8% lead, and the rest is tin. The alloy is highly suitable for hot forming, but less suitable for cold forming. It offers excellent corrosion resistance and can be polished to a high shine. The material is known for its outstanding machinability and is ideal for automatic processing. Soft soldering is the recommended joining method. This brass square rod is suitable for resistance welding, but gas welding is not recommended.
