This brass square bar is made from 2.0401 material, also known as Ms58 or CuZn39Pb3. It features a copper content of up to 59%, lead content between 1.7% and 2.8%, with the remainder being tin. The alloy is easy to hot form, but not suitable for cold forming. It offers excellent corrosion resistance and can be mechanically polished to a high shine. The material stands out for its superior machinability and is ideal for automatic machining. Soft soldering is the preferred joining method. This brass rod is only suitable for resistance welding; gas welding is not recommended.
