Round steel 1.4571 is a rustproof, austenitic, chromium-nickel stainless steel with the addition of molybdenum and stabilized with titanium. The steel grade has good resistance to corrosion. Due to the titanium content, it also offers good insensitivity to intergranular corrosion both in the welded state and in continuous operation up to 400 °C. The maximum usage temperature is + 550 °C. The steel has good forgeability and excellent weldability.

V4A round steel is well suited for cold forming but cannot be polished. It has good processing properties and is particularly stable at high temperatures. The steel can be used at low temperatures down to -50 °C.
