2.4819 (Alloy C276) is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy enhanced with tungsten. Its high chromium and molybdenum content offers strong resistance to chloride ion corrosion, and tungsten further boosts this durability. With very low levels of carbon and silicon, this alloy performs exceptionally well in both oxidizing and reducing environments. It resists pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking, and is suitable for both hot and cold forming. Additionally, it can be welded using all standard methods.
