2.4819 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with added tungsten, which enhances its resistance to chloride ion attack. With high chromium and molybdenum content, plus low levels of carbon and silicon, Alloy C276 offers excellent resistance to a wide range of corrosive environments, even under both oxidizing and reducing conditions. It is exceptionally resistant to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. Hastelloy® C276 is suitable for both cold and hot forming and can be welded using all standard welding methods.
