2.4819, also known as Alloy C276, is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy enhanced with tungsten. Its high levels of chromium and molybdenum offer excellent resistance to chloride ion corrosion, while tungsten further boosts this protection. With minimal carbon and silicon content, this alloy is highly resistant to many aggressive environments—both oxidizing and reducing. It excels against pitting, crevice, and stress corrosion cracking. Hastelloy® C276 is suitable for both cold and hot forming and can be welded using standard techniques.
