It is highly resistant to aggressive acids like sulfuric, phosphoric, and nitric acids, as well as chlorine gas and acid mixtures containing sulfuric acid. Alloy C22 is also highly resistant to crevice corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, and pitting, especially in high-temperature conditions.
