Hastelloy® C22 is exceptionally resistant to oxidizing and mineral acids, including sulfuric, phosphoric, and nitric acids. It is also unaffected by chlorine gas and acid mixtures containing sulfuric acid. The alloy is highly resistant to crevice corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, and pitting, even in high-temperature settings.
