3.7164, also known as titanium grade 5 or Ti6Al4V, is an age-hardenable alloy (up to 25 mm thick) containing approximately 88.74–91.0% titanium, 5.5–6.75% aluminum, and 3.5–4.5% vanadium. This alloy is well-known for its high strength, toughness, and ductility. It also provides outstanding fatigue resistance, even in moist or marine environments. Titanium grade 5 is easy to weld, hot-form, and machine, and it possesses excellent corrosion resistance across a broad range of conditions. The maximum recommended operating temperature is around 400°C.
