The 1.4404 round bar is an austenitic stainless steel alloyed with chromium, nickel, and molybdenum. With a low carbon content, it offers exceptional resistance to non-oxidizing acids and chloride-containing environments. This material resists intergranular corrosion and is easy to machine, weld, and cold form. It is suitable for use at temperatures up to 550°C, with continuous operation recommended at around 300°C.
