1.4404 hexagon bar is an austenitic stainless steel alloy with chromium, nickel, and molybdenum. With low carbon content, it offers excellent resistance to non-oxidizing acids and chloride-containing media. It does not suffer from intergranular corrosion and is easy to process, including welding and cold forming. The material is suitable for use at temperatures up to 550°C, with recommended continuous operation around 300°C.
