Haynes 188 is a cobalt-based heat-resistant alloy containing approximately 40% cobalt, which provides excellent temperature stability and good magnetic properties. Alloy 2.4683 also includes about 22% nickel and chromium, as well as 15% tungsten. This material offers outstanding oxidation resistance at temperatures up to 1100°C and is suitable for environments containing sulfur. It is known for its good ductility, corrosion resistance, and robust performance against abrasion and impact. Although Alloy 188 cannot be age-hardened, it is highly suitable for cold forming processes.
