Material 2.4858 is a fully austenitic nickel-iron-chromium alloy, stabilized with titanium, and also contains copper and molybdenum. It offers outstanding resistance to reducing, oxidizing, and organic acids. Incoloy® 825 is also highly resistant to alkalis and chloride-containing environments. This alloy stands out for its excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. 2.4858 is easy to form both hot and cold, and it is well-suited for machining.
