Material 1.4841 is an austenitic stainless steel known for its high nickel content, delivering excellent high-temperature resistance and maintaining its phase structure both at elevated and room temperatures. Its high nickel and chromium levels also ensure outstanding corrosion resistance.

With a silicon content of 1.5 - 2.0%, 1.4841 offers superior scale resistance in air up to approximately 1150°C. This grade is ideal for applications involving welding, forging, and cold forming.

The recommended forming temperature for AISI 314 material is between 980°C and 1150°C. Normally, preheating or post-weld heat treatment is not necessary. The material is suitable for common welding techniques such as TIG, MIG, and arc welding.
