Aluminum increases oxidation resistance, while vanadium improves high-temperature and tensile strength. Grade 5 titanium can be hardened and is easily hot-formed. It offers excellent weldability, outstanding resistance to saltwater and marine environments, as well as high strength, good toughness, and ductility.
