Round steel 1.4571 is a stainless austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel with addition of molybdenum and stabilized with titanium. The steel grade has good resistance to corrosion. Due to the titanium content, it also offers good insensitivity to intergranular corrosion both in the welded condition and in continuous service up to 400 °C. The maximum use temperature is + 550 °C. The steel has good forgeability and excellent weldability.

V4A round steel is well suited for cold forming but is not polishable. It has good processing properties and exhibits high stability, especially in high temperature ranges. The steel can be used at low temperatures down to -50 °C.
