Nitronic 60 is a high-alloy, austenitic chromium-nickel steel, further enhanced with about 4% silicon and 7% manganese. Its base is iron, with approximately 17% chromium and 8% nickel, giving Alloy 218 outstanding wear resistance, strong mechanical properties, excellent corrosion resistance, and good hardness, even in the annealed state.
