2.4602 is a high corrosion-resistant alloy made from nickel, chromium, molybdenum, and tungsten, with minimal carbon and silicon content. Also known as Hastelloy® C22, this alloy withstands a wide range of corrosive environments—both mineral and organic acids do not affect it. Alloy C22 is also highly resistant to seawater, crevice corrosion, stress cracking, and pitting.
We offer Hastelloy® C22 tubes in the Evek GmbH online store, providing high-quality nickel alloys at competitive prices.
Due to its excellent resistance to hydrogen chloride and moist chlorine gas, Hastelloy® C22 is widely used in the chemical industry. It's also common in environmental technology, wastewater, and waste incineration plants. Other typical applications for 2.4602 include:
- Heat exchangers
- Flue gas desulfurization units
- Pulp and paper industry (bleach tanks)
- Reactors for acetic acid production
Key properties of Hastelloy® C22:
- Excellent resistance to various corrosive substances (mineral and organic acids)
- High seawater resistance
- Resistant to crevice, stress, and pitting corrosion
- Easy to weld
