hn70u is a heat-resistant Chrome-Nickel-Aluminum steel. The material contains max. 1% iron. The material designation hn70u means:

• H - 26-29% Chromium;
• N70 - 65-71% Nickel;
• U - 2.8-3.5% Aluminum.

The quality shows excellent heat resistance and high strength. It is conditionally weldable. Before welding, the material should be preheated to 100-120°C. After welding, additional heat treatment is required. The alloy is not resistant in sulfur-containing environments.

hn70u is used for lightly and unstressed parts operated in gas-containing environments at temperatures from 550°C to 1200°C. Typical applications of hn70u are:
