Stainless steel 1.4845 is an austenitic heat-resistant chromium-nickel steel. The chromium content is at least 24%. The nickel content is at least 19%. The grade has good scaling resistance (up to 1050 °C) and high strength at elevated temperatures. It also has high mechanical load capacity. The material 1.4845 is well resistant to high-temperature corrosion but has poor resistance in oxidizing and reducing atmospheres.
