Stainless steel 1.4845 is an austenitic heat-resistant chromium-nickel steel. The chromium content is min. 24%. The nickel content is min. 19%. The grade has good scale resistance (up to 1050 °C) and high heat resistance. It also has high mechanical load capacity. Material 1.4845 is well resistant to high-temperature corrosion, but has poor resistance in oxidizing and reducing atmospheres.
