Material 2.1090 is a bronze alloy with excellent sliding properties, designed for applications where emergency running capability is important. Composed primarily of copper with tin, zinc, and lead, this alloy offers medium hardness, outstanding machinability, and strong resistance to corrosion—even in marine environments. It withstands non-oxidizing acids and neutral salt solutions, though it has limited weldability. CuSn7ZnPb is suitable for soft soldering and electrolytic polishing, with moderate results for brazing and mechanical polishing.
