1.4862 is a filler metal made of nickel-iron-chromium alloy with a content of approx. 2% silicon. The silicon content achieves good resistance to internal oxidation at high temperatures. The 1.4862 welding wire is characterized by good high-temperature strength, excellent resistance to oxidation and carbonization, even in alternating reducing and oxidizing atmospheres. Furthermore, the 1.4862 filler metal has good mechanical properties.

The 1.4862 filler metal is suitable for joint and build-up welding of nickel-chromium alloys of the same type and similar types. Important base materials:

• 1.4862 (Alloy DS)
