2.4806 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy welding wire that contains 2.5% niobium and 3% manganese. This welding wire is ideal for joining ferritic carbon-manganese steels with austenitic chromium-nickel steels. It offers excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking and intergranular corrosion, and maintains good toughness at temperatures as low as -196°C, with maximum service temperatures up to +900°C.
