Titanium Grade 5 is the most widely used titanium alloy, containing approximately 88.74–91.0% titanium, 5.5–6.75% aluminum, 3.5–4.5% vanadium, and 0.015% hydrogen. Also known as material number 3.7165, this alloy can be age-hardened (up to 25mm thick) and offers excellent hot formability and weldability. It is highly resistant to corrosion and seawater, features high strength and toughness at a low density, and excels in resisting crack formation and propagation.
