The alloy pt3v is a ductile titanium alloy with high strength and corrosion-resistant properties. The main alloying elements of this titanium grade are aluminum and vanadium. Other impurities include zirconium, iron, oxygen, silicon, carbon, nitrogen, and hydrogen.

The strength and corrosion properties are positively influenced by the main alloying elements aluminum (3.5-5%) and vanadium (1.2-2.5%).

Titanium pt3v can be easily deformed in a hot state. It cannot be hardened by heat treatment, except by complete or incomplete annealing to reduce metal stresses. The alloy can be welded well and without restrictions with all welding methods, without impairing the strength of the weld seam.
